They currently live between Monte Carlo Principality of Monaco and curiously, another city with the same name but located elsewhere: Montecarlo, Tuscany, Italy. She was a holistic, humanist entrepreneur. She held both CMP and CMM certifications and was an active member of Site–Society for Incentive Travel Excellence. She also worked for a privately owned independent DMC leader in the Italian market and managed a DMC in Monaco for one of the largest international destination management companies worldwide. The InspireME team, lead by Moreno, strengthened by the years of experience gained and results achieved continues to operate to the highest standards while remaining true to the original vision and philosophy created by Miek, Moreno and their children. Upon Miek’s passing Moreno Sonatori assumed the role of CEO to ensure seamless continuity of business and service to their customers. Until July 2021, Miek was the soul and engine of InspireME when her life was taken in a tragic accident.
Together, with tireless enthusiasm and determination, they have led InspireME to become a trusted destination and business partner in the international DMC scene. For twenty five years Moreno worked alongside Miek as an art consultant and director and then as co-founder of InspireME.
